Happy Birthday to YOU!

Here's a new card I featured at my Birthday Card buffet last month.  It features the "Another Great Year" stamp set, fringe scissors, and the Fresh Prints DSP stack

So for this card, we used the awesome new fringe scissors, some ribbon, the Fresh Prints Designer Paper Series Stack and Oval Framelits.  Stamp the greeting 2 times, snip out the banner parts, mount them on dimensionals and there you are!  CUTE!  It appears to be an intimidating card, but it is super simple.  The fringe scissors do all the work for you.

Daydreaming of Flowers...

Hi Everyone!

Here's one of my favorites!  A super simple layout, with some stamping, layering, and a special knot, and here you have a super pretty birthday card.  I think this has a certain wow factor, and I'm hoping it's recipient thinks so too. ;)

 I love this trick.  And for once, I came up with it!  I'm sure it's been done before, but I don't think I've ever seen it and I think it's a great way to add a faux "brad" when you don't have the correct color. 

 Here's what you do:

Tie a knot in any color ribbon (a thinner width works best).

Punch a hole in your layer that needs the faux brad.  

Thread the tail end of the ribbon knot through the top of the cardstock. 

Adhere the ends to the back of the cardstock where you won't see them.

Use dimensionals to mount your layer, and you'll never know it was ribbon, and you have a custom coordinating faux "brad."

Because We All Need a Little Sun!

 This is an oldy but a goodie.  A cheerful card that brightens us all up on a quite gloomy February day.  I LOVE this stamp.  It was a single stamp that SU released last year, and I can't get enough of it.  Therefore, it's no longer available to purchase, however, the super cute cloud embossing folder is on the newly updated clearance rack.  :)

 

 White embossing powder, on black cardstock makes the "chalkboard" look, and is very simple to do!  These cute banners are from the Hearts a Flutter Framelits and I use this particular banner on tons of cards.
