Sweet Stuff Convention Swap

As I blogged about yesterday, here are more convention swaps.  This is mine that I created for an organized swap.  This one was great because it was 40 cards, all using different stamp sets from the new catalog.  So get ready to see a versatile set of card in the next few weeks, here and there!

I chose the Sweet Stuff stamp set.  It is darling.  And it's perfect for using blendabilites.  I love it.  And so does Miss S. :)

I used the Project Life by Stampin' Up! framelits here to frame the greeting.  Mounting the greeting on a Daffodil Delight base gives it the strength to be it's own element that pops off the card base.

Here's a closeup of the blendabilites.  I only used 2 shades, medium and light of each color.

The decorative dots embossing folder and the scallop trim rotary attachment added layers, interest, and texture.

As always, I added on that extra flap, to provide more writing space.  These framelits give such a versatile element to card creating, with virtually no work!

I'll be back with more samples tomorrow!

Thanks for reading today, and don't forget to read this post to pick the product share you want!

Be the Star Swap

Hi everyone!  Thanks so much to taking the time to read my blog today.

One thing we (crazy demonstrators) love to do is to swap card ideas.  They can be organized or just accomplished by simply walking up to another demo and say "Do you have any swaps?"  It was truly amazing to watch everyone with their tote bags, aprons, and other caddies going crazy over what other demonstrators had, and the necessity to get their hands on it. I took place in an organized swap and swapped a few cards here and there.  Over the next few weeks, I'll be posting my swaps from Inspire, Create, Share, (convention).  So get ready to pin.  These are good ones! :)

I'll start with my general swap.  I LOVE this new Be the Star Stamp set and coordinating framelit set.  Can I tell you a secret?  There will be a bundle with these framelits and beautiful holiday stars in the new holiday catalog! But for now, you get these great stars in the Be the Star stamp set!
I used Hello Honey, Basic Gray and Pool Party.

Pretty simple, but I love how it turned out.  I stamped the gray stars for the background, and used Whisper White as an accent to make the colors pop off the page.  This color combo came from the color coach.  I use that whenever I just don't feel like thinking.  Seriously, the combos are foolproof!
